Website Conversions

In one lineOptimizing for on-site actions.
Website Conversions illustration

A website conversions campaign optimizes your bidding toward a specific action people take on your site after clicking, such as a purchase or a sign-up.

You install the X pixel or send events through the conversions API, pick the event you care about, and X delivers your ad to the people most likely to complete it. The system reads the signal from past converters and goes looking for more of them.

Say you sell a course. You set the campaign to optimize for the purchase event and spend a fixed budget over a week. X reports 60 purchases at a cost per result you read straight from Ads Manager. Open your own dashboard, pick your conversion event, and check what one completed action is costing you.

You need volume before the optimization means anything. The model needs a steady stream of the conversion event to learn from. If your pixel fires two or three purchases a week, X is guessing, not optimizing, so feed it a mid-funnel event like add to cart until the purchase data catches up.

No signal in, no optimization out.
