The Events API is server-side tracking that sends conversion data to TikTok from your server instead of from the visitor's browser.

You set it up so that when a purchase or lead happens, your own server reports it straight to TikTok, skipping the browser entirely. Because it does not depend on the visitor's device, it catches the conversions that ad blockers and privacy settings hide from the Pixel. Most advertisers run it alongside the Pixel, not instead of it.

Say a buyer completes checkout with an ad blocker on. The browser Pixel may never fire, but your server still knows the sale happened and sends it through the Events API, so TikTok credits the ad correctly. Check your events dashboard for the match quality score, since that tells you how well the server data is lining up with real users.

The catch is that this one needs real setup work. Unlike pasting the Pixel snippet, the Events API usually means a developer, a connector, or a platform integration, and if you send messy or duplicated data it can double-count instead of fixing your numbers.

It sees what the browser cannot. It just asks more of you to wire it up.
