Audience Insights

In one lineReporting on who saw and acted.
Audience Insights illustration

Audience Insights is the reporting view that describes who saw and engaged with your ads by attributes like age, gender, interests, and location.

You open it in Ads Manager and read the breakdown of the audience your delivery actually reached, not the audience you set out to target. You use it to check whether spend is landing on the people you meant to reach and to find segments worth splitting into their own ad sets.

A brand targeting a broad age range checks Insights and sees most engagement came from one narrow band. It carves that band into a dedicated ad set and drops the ranges that were spending without engaging.

People read Insights as instructions for what to target next. It describes who the algorithm already chose to serve, not who converts best. Doubling down on it can lock you into one pocket and starve audiences you never gave a fair test.

It tells you who you reached, not who you should have.
