Custom Audiences

In one lineList and retargeting audiences.

Custom Audiences are audiences you build from your own data, a customer list you upload or people who visited your site or engaged with your ads.

You create them in the ads manager. Upload a list of emails and Reddit matches them to accounts; or use the Reddit Pixel to build an audience of people who hit a page or completed an action; or retarget people who saw or clicked your earlier ads. Then you target that group directly, or exclude it from a prospecting campaign so you stop paying to reach buyers you already have.

Say 3,000 people started your checkout last month and did not finish. Your Pixel already tagged them, so you build a Custom Audience of cart-starters and run a Carousel ad that answers the objection that stops most of them, shipping cost. You are talking to warm traffic instead of paying the auction to find it again.

An uploaded list only works for the share Reddit can match. Hand over 10,000 emails and a chunk will not tie to any account, so the usable audience is smaller than your file. Check the matched size before you budget against it, and keep the list current.

Your own data is the cheapest audience you will ever target.
