A collections ad is a format that pairs one large hero image or video with a row of smaller product tiles beneath it.

You set a hero asset on top, then attach product tiles pulled from your catalog underneath. In the feed a user sees the hero plus three tiles; when they tap in, the close-up view can show up to twenty-four products. The hero carries the mood, the tiles carry the shopping, and the tap moves someone from browsing to a specific item.

A furniture brand runs a styled living-room photo as the hero and hangs the sofa, rug, and lamp from that scene as tiles. Someone who likes the room taps through and lands directly on the sofa page.

The hero and the tiles have to be the same story. The common mistake is a pretty lifestyle hero attached to unrelated best-sellers. If the tiles do not appear in the hero, the tap-through feels like a bait, and the format loses the one thing it does well, which is turning a scene into a purchase.

Sell the room, then sell what is in it.
