Document Ads

Document Ads let you promote a PDF or slide document in the feed that members can read or download, usually behind a lead form.

You upload the document, and members see the first pages inline; to read the rest or download the file, they submit a Lead Gen Form pre-filled with their LinkedIn profile data. You get the document views for free-feeling engagement and the form fill for the actual lead capture.

A cybersecurity vendor runs a Document Ad on a benchmark report, letting prospects preview two pages in the feed and requiring name, company, and email to reach the full download.

The preview is the whole pitch. Most people never fill the form, so if the visible pages do not justify handing over contact details, you get views and no leads, and the report's best material buried past the gate never does any work.

The preview earns the form, or nothing does.
