Campaign Manager is LinkedIn's self-serve platform for building, targeting, and reporting on ads.

You work top down inside it: an account holds campaign groups, groups hold campaigns, and campaigns hold the ads. Every objective, audience, budget, and bid gets set here, and every impression, click, and lead reports back here too. If you have run Meta or Google, the shape is familiar, but the targeting inputs and the cost profile are not.

Say you want to reach IT directors at mid-size software firms. You open Campaign Manager, pick a conversions objective, build the audience from job function and seniority, load a Lead Gen Form, and set a bid. Nothing about that campaign lives anywhere else.

It is not a passive dashboard. LinkedIn keeps adding automation on top of it, including the Accelerate AI campaign builder, and the defaults tend to widen your reach and spend faster than you would choose by hand. Read what each toggle actually does before you accept it.

Learn the hierarchy first. Everything else hangs off it.
